Restoration of a neon sign This neon sign came in the owner had purchased it from a USA company but wasmade in China. What a mess the Harley Davidson was spelt wrong made in 6mm glass which no one in here would do its consumable glass that is used in processing the neon. The back panel is broken as well as the 1903 neon piece, as well as theassembly was terrible. The owner originally contacted the overseas company & they sent out replacement parts, which he brought into to be refited. That’s when we noticed the spelling & the numbers that should be 1903 & 2003. With that he asked if I could replace the HARLEY DAVIDSON so I did a mock up of how it would look which he approved then I went about fixing his neon sign. Then when it came to putting on the replacement panel it was a 100mm to small in height so I needed to replace that too, the transformers where mounted behind the panel give space to increase the area for the neon, & the job was assembled with care to its alignment what a difference that can make even when the NEON is not made by a quality craftsman. It may cost a bit more but I know which one of these I would want to have hanging on my wall & even better if the neon sign was totally made here
